I am Anna Ford – born and raised in Raleigh, North Carolina. After traveling all over the world, to California, Florida, Ohio, Australia, and New Zealand, there is no other place I would rather call home. I am a third-generation realtor and the daughter of the most hard-working people I know, the owners and founders of VFG Realty. I am also a junior at East Carolina University majoring in Construction Management. I grew up recognized for my amazing athletic ability. I was an award-winning soccer player and had the opportunity of playing on the best team in the nation. Numerous times I was trained and even played with the US Women’s National Team. Playing soccer for over a decade really grounded me and instilled a sense of hard work and a never give up attitude than is still in me today, if not stronger.
I was a sophomore in high school when I realized the career path I wanted to take. My parents had picked me up from school one day and took me to a lot that they were soon to be listing. Jerry Pounds was the builder and I remember him going over the plans with my parents and them brainstorming on marketing ideas. Being a curious fifteen-year-old I began soaking up all the information I could to try and understand what was really going on and how I could relate it to my life. Since that day I have had the heart and passion for the path I am now. I have outgrown the classroom that I have sat in for many years and I am finally prepared to be on my own.
Now, I am a junior at East Carolina University majoring in construction management. I worked hard over summer to complete classes so I would have the opportunity to graduate early. I am on track for graduating a whole semester early! My time at East Carolina University has taught me so many amazing life skills such as professionalism, marketing strategies, good communication skills, and the inside scoop of what is going on in our real estate market today. Many of my professors have been in the business for decades and are now pouring their knowledge and expertise into their students.
When I’m not studying or working, I enjoy working out, spending time with family friends, and giving back to my community. I have had the amazing opportunity of being a Young Life Leader at J.H. Rose High School, where I lead a group of girls closer to Christ. Being a Young Life leader has given me amazing leadership skills and taught me how important it is to pour into the leaders of our future. Currently, I am helping my parents plant a church in downtown Raleigh. Since Echo Church, I am more convinced than ever, relationships are key. When allowing me to serve as your real estate consultant, you can be assured, your interest is my priority.
